Magic potion capacity lesson
We made a magic potion which had to be 500mls in capacity. We had to measure very accurately. We made some fantastic potions.

Making the Uk out of play dough
Today we were set the challenge of making the UK out of play dough. We weren't allowed to look at any maps! We had to use our own knowledge to make the shape and place the country names where we thought they went. We had lots of great discussions!

Making Shadows
We investigated how shadows are formed by using our hands to block the light source. We practise making shadow animals with our hands.

Keeping the Beat
Today we learnt all about keeping the beat while singing. We sang Bring Back my Bonnie to Me. We learnt a lot and had lots of fun.

Woolley Mammoth Washing
We have read a fantastic new story called, ‘How to Wash a Woolley Mammoth,’ we even had a go at washing some mammoth fur (faux of course) and used lots of imperatives verbs! It was great fun!

Midsummer Night’s Dream
First, we designed our Midsummer Night’s Dream theatre set and then we made our characters. We then moved on to writing a play script for a scene in the woods. We are rehearsing and will be performing for the rest of the class soon.

Plastic in our oceans
As part of our plastic in our oceans topic, we tested our knowledge of the five oceans and the six continents. With our partners we tried our best to remember where the continents and the oceans were. We then voted on the most accurate map!

Drawing maps of our school
We located our school on google maps and discussed what we could see and what surrounded our school. We then tried our best to copy the map in as much detail as we could, thinking about how this is a satellite image of our school taken from above.

Ascension posters
We have been learning about when Jesus ascended up into heaven. We read scripture from the bible and decided to create posters to say goodbye. We researched how we say goodbye from around the world.
