Volcanoes
This week we are preparing our volcanoes by painting them. We have looked at all the different types of volcanoes and decided how we wanted to paint them. Hopefully we didn't get too messy!

Connor Moonwalks to Victory!

Wassail Punch!
Year 5 made and tasted Wassail punch today. They all got in the festive spirit by making the Victorian drink! A big thank you to Mrs Neville who returned this year to make this Christmas treat.

Year 5 became great problem solvers today. They worked out that the time would have to be 9:10 or 14:15. It was also discovered that the next consecutive date would be 90 years away on the 1/2/3 (2103). Well done Year 5!

A Christmas Carol
We really enjoyed reading the first part of 'A Christmas Carol' today. We had to pretend we were Scrooge and not like Christmas! It was very difficult because we all love Christmas in Year 5!

Party Squares!
Today the children extended their understanding of square numbers further by playing a whole class game called 'Party Squares'. They had to use their number and find another number in the classroom that when added together made a square number. They made 9, 16, 25, 36 and 49! After a littleā¦
