Chinese New Year
We have really enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year this week. We decorated our home corner, learnt how to use chopsticks and about all the different traditions. We found out we were all born in the year of the snake or the horse!

A House in the Woods!
Today in Literacy we read a book called 'A House in the Woods'. After we read the story we all tried to make our own houses. Some children had a go at using real tools and wood to make a house! Thanks to Mr Sandham who helped us bring the story to life!

Mud kitchen
We learn so much when we're in the mud kitchen, this morning a group of children worked together pretending they were on a television cooking programme! They made a bean soup with a side of bread or toast, it was delicious!

Phonics fun!
Today we started learning our letter sounds. The first one is 'S' and we will be learning 'a', 't' and 'p' this week too. We have tried hard to sort and find objects beginning with 's' and we have tried to write the grapheme. A great start Reception!
