Our Visit to Church
This afternoon we went for a visit to Church. We saw the Baptismal Font, we saw the statue of St. Hugh of Lincoln and the statue of Mary. We loved looking at the people on the stained glass windows, we were allowed to touch the windows and we could see through them. We found lots of swans, flowers…

Frosty the Snowman
The children painted their own shapes to build a snowman for our wall. They talked about shape, length and colour. They used lots of number words and they even talked about how Frosty the Snowman would be feeling!

Learning Patience!
When you are little, you can think that everything should happen NOW. In nursery we purposely do some activities where we have to return to it in stages to complete it. We also do some activities where you have to wait for your turn. Patience is a life skill!

Hedgehogs
This week we have been finding out about hedgehogs. We read fiction and non-fiction books, did you know that they curl up when they get frightened? We also made a hedgehog using a fork to move the paint to look like prickles! These are going home with us to practice our name recognition! Thank you…

St. Hugh of Lincoln
We go to St. Hugh of Lincoln R.C. Primary School. Today we heard about St. Hugh, as he is our special saint. We heard that he had a very special pet - a swan. We looked at the swan on our school uniform! We made our own handprint swans!

“Why Are People Wearing Flowers?”
The children wanted to know why people were wearing flowers - poppies. We spoke about how it is to remember people who have died in wars and we watched a short animated film about the poppies growing in the fields.
