This week we have been noticing lots of ice around us ! We have decided to start our new topic frozen! We have had fun playing in our new ice palace, exploring on the winter area and writing facts about arctic animals !

Dentist visit

Today we had a visit from a dentist. She told us all about going to the dentist, how to look after and brush our teeth properly and what foods are goo for keeping our teeth healthy !

Frozen eggs!

This afternoon we found a frozen dinosaur egg ! We were so excited and it prompted lots of discussion about freezing and melting , solids and liquids as we tried to hatch out the dinosaurs!

Finding all the dinosaur fossils inspired some great play and learning opportunities! We talked about what dinosaurs we think they came from, we drew them and wrote about them and we even measured them against our pretend dinosaurs !

Today we went on an excavation in our school grounds! We were amazed to find lots of dinosaur fossils of all shapes and sizes! We have sent some to the Manchester museum to see what they think of them!
