Hello again 6E,
Can’t believe we are on week 5 of lockdown! It is week 5 isn’t it? I’ve lost count. I hope you are all behaving well and working hard- I’m sure you all are. I’m counting on you to keep up the hard work, I know you won’t let me or yourselves down. I’ve been busy this week with the boys, who’ve had plenty of work to keep them occupied. The weather has been fabulous again, which really helps. Last Tuesday, when I was in school, I had a lovely surprise.... Ciaran arrived with trays full of cakes! So lovely to see you Ciaran, the cakes were fab! I also had a special delivery from Scarlett, who wrote me a great letter about what she’s been up to- fantastic to hear from you Scarlett! Hope your brother’s hair has grown back.
I have just been for a run, I’ve done 5k for £5 ( You donate this to the NHS)my next job is to nominate 5 more people to do the same ... perhaps you could run 5 kilometres and then donate? If we all did it that would raise another £120! Go for it! Let me know if you do it, send a picture to Mr. Mountcastle.
Have you tried the BBC bitesize daily lessons? I think they are really good. Lots of experts are delivering the lessons, David Attenborough is teaching geography. (www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/daily lessons) Give them a try!
This evening, with clear skies forecast over much of the country there is a very good reason to look up into the night sky.Across the UK, over the past few days, there have been reports of streams of bright lights shooting across the sky, with some users on Twitter claimed they had seen UFOs. In reality, these trains of light are part of Elon Musk's Starlink satellite network which is being built as part of a project to provide global internet coverage. If you google it you can find out when is the best time to spot them over Manchester tonight. They will be visible until April 24th.
Thank you to those who have sent letters to Hotel Football, apparently an ex Pupil from St Hugh’s is a healthcare worker who is currently staying there, she was delighted to receive our messages. It’s not too late to send more- please send one if you haven’t already.
Still missing you all lots, stay safe, look after yourselves and we will see you soon,
lots of love from
Mrs Evans and Mrs Stanley
xx
