Purposeful Play In Reception

We have been very busy play learning today in Reception! We used lots of different resources and worked together to build our own train!

We had lots of fun journeys to many different places using our wonderful imaginations!

Today we have taken part in out first P.E lesson !

We took our shoes and socks off and our jumpers and talked about the important parts of our P.E lessons, like stretches, warm ups, main activity and learning skills and cool down sessions.

Welcome Prayer Leaders

Today we welcomed our new Prayer Leaders into Reception. We listened very carefully to how we can listen to God through our prayers and what we do.

Cave Paintings

We used twigs and the paint we made, to create a class painting in the style of the Stone Age tribes, who would have painted stories and messages.

Stone Age Paint

We used a pestle and mortar to crush charcoal into a fine powder, once we had done this we added vegetable oil and mixed it to make the paint.

This week Year 3 have been learning all about the Stone Age in history. We have looked at what they lived in, ate, used to fight and the different ways they would communicate with other tribes. We used charcoal to produce our own stone wall markings and messages.
