Measuring Madness

Year 4/5 couldn't stop measuring! They used metre sticks and converted measures in m, cm and mm.

Rainbow Assembly Cake

My class spoke clearly and beautifully during their class assembly so they were treated to a rainbow cake. Yum!

Drama: NOT A STICK

The children acted out different uses for a stick after reading the book called NOT A STICK. They thought of imaginative ideas like a back scratcher, a paddle, a walking stick and a rocket!

We have really enjoyed reading NOT A STICK by Antoinette Portis. The main character imagines that his stick is lots of exciting things like a sword, a baton and a dumb bell. We have thought of our own uses for a stick and enjoyed acting them out.

William Morris

We have been studying the patterns that William Morris has created. We used pencil first to look at the detailed designs and then used watercolours. They have turned out beautifully.

World Maths Day

In our Maths lesson we competed against children all over the world to work out sums! We love Maths!

P.E

Today we carried on practising our throwing and catching skills. This time we went outside and used tennis balls. We rolled, threw and kicked them to each other! We talked about the hardest and easiest way.

All aboard the addition bus !

In Maths we are learning simple addition by adding 'one more'. Today we played a game pretending to travel on our bus adding one more passenger at each stop ! It was fun and helped us to learn!
