Pancake fun !

As it is shrove Tuesday we have been making pretend pancakes using play dough and a variety of toppings ! It made us very hungry! It's a good job we are making real ones too :)

Using angle eaters

Year 3 have been learning all about right angles. We investigated objects in our classroom and sorted them into right angles, acute or obtuse angles. We had lots of fun !

Sea Collages

We have been working on sea collages in art after looking at sea paintings by J.M.W. Turner.

We used scissors to create the straight edges on the boats and tore painted paper to create the wave effect of the sea.

We have been sorting 3D shapes into groups- those that have curved faces and those that have flat faces. The children saw that some shapes belonged in both groups so we needed to overlap our sorting hoops.

Special visitors !

Today we had two very special visitors to school! P.C Jo and P.C Chris. They came to tell us all about their special job as police officers and all they do to keep us safe. We have promised to wave at them if we see them drive past us !
