Frozen eggs!
This afternoon we found a frozen dinosaur egg ! We were so excited and it prompted lots of discussion about freezing and melting , solids and liquids as we tried to hatch out the dinosaurs!

Inspired!
Finding all the dinosaur fossils inspired some great play and learning opportunities! We talked about what dinosaurs we think they came from, we drew them and wrote about them and we even measured them against our pretend dinosaurs !

Palaeontologists!
Today we went on an excavation in our school grounds! We were amazed to find lots of dinosaur fossils of all shapes and sizes! We have sent some to the Manchester museum to see what they think of them!

We have been creating slime by making a non- Newtonian liquid from water and cornflour.

Y6E had a fantastic time investigating solids and liquids today. It was very messy but fortunately the children were fantastic at cleaning up!

A Postcard from Evie's House
This week a postcard arrived from Evie's house. Sunny has had a very busy time. He went to the Halloween disco and pumpkin picking! We love the cape that Evie made for Sunny to keep him warm!
