We have been talking about Mary. Mary was Jesus’s mummy. We talked about how Mary would have looked after her baby, like our mums look after us. We looked closely at the statue of Mary, we had some great conversations with our friends as we worked!

DT - making mini greenhouses
In DT we have looked at what a greenhouse needs and have designed and planned how to make our own mini greenhouses. We have started to make them using our plans! We can’t wait to see the finished results.

Paper Weaving
We are learning what weaving means. This week we made caterpillars by weaving paper together and then made fantastic patterns using weaving. Brilliant Year One!

Year 1 acted out the parts of Scruffy Dog and Franklin. We wanted to find out why Franklin does not want Scruffy Dog in his adventures! Year 1 you were brilliant!

Good News!
We had a lovely time looking at our new butterfly. We saw him shaking his wings to dry them off. We put some fruit in for him to eat over the weekend. Hopefully he will have some friends when we get back to school on Monday.

6E have really enjoyed making papier-mâché masks. Some children have made death masks, others have made celebration masks and the really scary ones are battle masks.
