Music with Mrs Ali!
Today the children thoroughly enjoyed their music lesson with Mrs Ali...they were revising their understanding of music including key terminology, practising beats on their beaters as well as practising some scales on their glockenspiels. Well done Y4/5!!

Presenting our findings!
Today the children created their own magazine article to present their findings from the air pollution challenge. They then presented their work to the class and all did a great job!

Bake sale!
Well done Y4/5 for carrying out a brilliant bake sale today to raise money for Ukraine. You were amazing. Thank you also to the rest of the school who supported us today and bought lots of our yummy goodies!!

Creating digital music!
In computing today the children used a new software called Sountrap to create their own digital music. Our design brief was morning radio jingles and they produced some great compositions!

Clean Air Challenge!
Today we put out particulate traps around different locations in our school. Tomorrow we will count how many particulates each trap collected, so that we can compare where the most and least particulates and air pollution is in our school!

Roman trip to Chester!
Today we visited Chester to learn more about the Romans! We went on a tour of the Romans in a museum, marched through the streets as Roman soldiers and visited some Roman ruins including an amphitheatre!

A visit from Peter Greenhalgh!
This afternoon, we were very lucky to be joined by Peter Greenhalgh, an experienced meteorologist and oceanographer who spoke to us about air pollution. Over the next few weeks we will continue to work on our air challenge investigation!

Great British Science Week Activities!
As this is Great British Science Week, year 5 were invited to St Antony's to join in with some exciting STEM activities...including robotic engineering!!
