Our visit to the Imperial War Museum

As part of our History topic, we visited the Imperial War Museum to help us understand the impact of conflict on our local area.

We explored the exhibits in the museum which included World War 1 and 2, Propaganda , the role of Women and the legacy of war. We also took part in a documentary challenge where we filmed our own documentaries and watched some moving picture films on life in the trenches and the effects of war on children. We even saw a 97 year old World War 2 veteran who was sharing his experiences for a ‘Remembrance’ BBC Songs of Praise programme.
