Investigating strong structures!

As part of our DT topic ‘making greenhouses’ we have been looking at strong structures. Today we had a fabulous afternoon making structures out of just dry spaghetti and marshmallows! We evaluated the process throughout, discussing how we could improve our structures to make them as strong as possible. If they could hold a worksheet they were deemed as strong! We concluded that to have a good strong structure, the base must be strong and the weight balanced equally on top of this.
