Looking for Roots and Shoots

We wanted to see what the inside of a ‘bulb’ looked like so our teachers bought some onions so we could see. We saw the different layers inside the onion and we saw the roots, which go down into the soil to find water and we saw the shoot that grows at the top! We could taste the onion if we wanted too, and we all had a smell!
