Hello 6J,
Don’t give up now...we’re NEARLY THERE!.
The days seem to be passing very quickly for those of us who have been in school and I cannot believe this is our penultimate week of a year none of us could have possibly have imagined.
I hope your ‘Virtual Sports Day’ has been going well. The 6J children who completed it with Mr Smith in school achieved some whole school records including Anastazja’s long jump and Harmonae’s ball bounce. Well done!
We have learnt lots about our mindsets in our transition lessons that we have already been applying to our learning in school; especially seeing failure as a successful step closer to our goals and accepting that we need to practise things to get better. All fabulous traits to help us at high school.
Talking of high schools, we have had more contact with some of your high schools this week, including a virtual Questions and Answers ‘Zoom’ meeting for some of the pupils attending Flixton Girls School. I also know some of you have been visiting your new schools too which is very exciting.
It was lovely to catch up with those of you still learning at home. Please remember, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to email or ring school.
This week in school we have been working on our memories of our time at St Hugh’s which has been both poignant and entertaining. If you have any that you would like us to share please email them in or even better bring them with you on Monday...yes MONDAY! The day we’ve all been aiming for, where we can sensibly socially distance together as a class. Monday is a day where we will share our memories and experiences, eat a pizza picnic and take part in our final Sports Day. So remember your slip and slide towels!!
Soooo looking forward to seeing you all again,
love Mes Jones and Mrs Stanley xxxx
