Image of Always Together

Hello everyone,

It’s been an interesting week for everyone. Some of us have been reunited and are back at school. The first days were strange as everybody was so quiet, we even had to put some background music on while we were working as we are so used to more voices in the classroom. However, we were more chatty by the second day. It was so lovely to hear friends talking and laughing together again: it was as if we they had never been apart.

Hopefully, you have seen some of our pictures from some of the activities we have been doing. We have been following the Home Learning schedules, like you too. We had bubble wands that we used to create bubbles for us to reflect on for our Religion topic and this week we are going to have a few afternoons working on our Geography PowerPoints and edit our ‘Ruin’ stories. If you have anything you would like to show, please send it in. I always enjoy receiving work and seeing how hard you are working.

A difference that we have at school that you don’t have at home is Mr Smith! He has been taking children to complete PE activities all week and, although you can’t be here, your class mates have been doing you proud: the 6J groups were the ONLY groups in the school to complete THREE circuits! We set a target now for others to reach too- I think 6E are hot on our toes! Well done.

I hope you survived the thunder storms last week? You can imagine what it was like for us in ‘the hut’. At one point I thought we might end up floating around the car park! And it always seemed to happen at home time! But we’re still here, thank goodness. My flowers in the garden on the other hand we not so lucky.

Don’t forget to pick up your ‘Go Big’ transition booklets from the entrance hall. I know some of you have already. The staff said it was LOVELY to see George again this week when you came in to pick his up- just so sorry I missed you. It would be lovely to see even more of your faces soon...

Missing you all,  but remember we maybe separated by distance but you belong to the St Hugh heart.

Love Mrs Jones & Mrs Stanley xx
