Hi Guys,
Hope you are all doing well, I’m really missing you all! Feels like ageees since I saw you all last (well apart from Emily, and Marcel who I saw out and about : ) ) The weather hasn’t been as nice this week so I’ve been pottering around in my house trying to keep it tidy and finishing off a few jobs. I’m reading a fantastic book at the minute which I can’t seem to put down, are you reading anything exciting? I can’t wait to hear about the books you have been reading when we get back to school. I have been trying out my cooking skills recently because my husband is a much better chef than me (don’t tell him I said that!) Have you been trying out any new skills? Your parents were telling me a lot of you have, which is very impressive!
New home learning packs will start next week so you can find activities for the week on there; there are lots of ideas for each subject As I have said before, it is important to do some work but you don’t have to complete every task, challenge yourself to see how much you can do. Some of the tasks you might not need your parents help, you could be an independent learner.
This week on the 8th of May it is VE Day which signalled the end of fighting in WW2 and the beginning of peace.

Maybe you could make some bunting or a Union Jack flag and string it up in your house. You could bake a cake and hold a mini VE day celebration in your house or garden. You could research whether someone in your family fought in the war or you could research Winston Churchill and find out who he was. You could record yourself pretending you are a news broadcaster telling Britain the news that the war in Europe is over. Watch this link and jot down the most important information you will need for your broadcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEavcsrMoMw
