We have been really lucky with the weather so far, so I’ve been taking Flo and Isabel for lots of walks as part of my daily exercise.
On the subject of Flo, I have had to bath her this week, there was shampoo and water everywhere! Flo is a long haired dog so she needs to have a hair cut quite often. I don’t think I’ll be brave enough to give her a hair cut (I’ll wait for the dog groomers to open) but she most definitely needed a bath. She hates having a wash and tries to hide when she knows it’s bath time, but she smells a lot better now. Isabel, the Labrador will be next just don’t tell her!
I wonder how all your lockdown hairstyles are looking!
This week I have been looking at photos that I took of all the projects we did in class. Do you remember when we went to Chester to learn about the Romans? How can you forget when Mrs Barlow and myself battled in the amphitheatre! I found lots of photos on all the science projects we did and when we had to ‘Save Sam’ the jelly snake using a plastic cup, a Haribo jelly ring and a paper clip. You could challenge someone at home to undertake this task, remember don’t give them any clues. We did learn though that teamwork was needed in this task and how listening to each other was of vital importance.
I know you all enjoyed science in Year 4/5 and I found a link that you could do at home about a rainbow.

Or go to https://www.stem.org.uk/home-learning where there are lots of Science, Maths and Design and Technology ideas. One of my favourites on the plan is to make your own VE Day bunting. Maybe you could find out what VE Day is and why we remember it?
New home learning letters/plans will be released soon. There will still be links to the key websites you have been using but there will be more information and creative ideas about science and other foundation subjects.
Take care everyone and hope to see you very soon. In the next couple of weeks Mrs Jackson and myself will be phoning and speaking to you once again.
